Additional component added to the prenatal health examinations.
As of the 1st of April 2011, check ups for Chlamydia will be included as a component of the financially aided prenatal health examinations. Unknowingly, Chlamydia can be transmitted to a child at birth, and can develop into more serious diseases like pneumonia. As Chlamydia often has no symptoms, it is almost impossible to know if one is infected, therefore it is extremely important to have a check up done. To find out how to obtain vouchers that make you eligible for financially aided prenatal health examinations, please visit your local Town Hall or City Office, register your pregnancy and complete any other necessary procedures.
